I can never remember when the UK national holidays are, never mind the US vacations. Fortunately, there’s a way to get Outlook to add national holidays to your standard Outlook calendar.

In Outlook just

  • go to File->Options->Calendar and click on the “Add holidays” button on the right
  • you’ll be asked which countries you want to add holidays for, just check the ones you are interested in
  • hit OK

The holidays (with name and location) will now appear at the top of the calendar page for the relevant days.
